Try to get the respect of someone you don’t respect
Forget to close the garage door upon your departure
Pass your exit / building / etc , without realizing
Always have nagging feeling you should be somewhere else
Never see the people you love
Have banked weeks of vacation and yet never take one
Hear the comment that you turn the office lights ‘on’ in the morning and ‘off’ in the evening
Think being connected 365/24/7 is a good thing
What to do About it
If you see your reflection in any of the above warning signs, this is a fire that needs to be extinguished quickly using the stop, drop and roll approach.
STOP the craziness
DROP 3 activities immediately (at least!)
ROLL out your priorities so everyone knows what you consider most important and leverage that support to restore balance
What do you do in this situation? For great strategies to regain balance, check out our Balancing Act training video.
