In my personal history of speaking and in my experience of assisting others with their public speaking, I have found the key to a powerful and easy to deliver speech is being oneself. There is some switch that clicks in our brains when we are working on a speech that makes us think that now we must take the role of a professional speaker. In doing so, we turn off all of the nuances that make us us.
