Lessons from Ugly Betty
publication date: Jun 14, 2011
One of my favorite shows used to be Ugly Betty. You had to root for someone as secure in herself as Betty. Her original outfits were outrageously bad. When they began to subtly make her over the final couple years of the series, it was very gradually at first…you suddenly realized that she was just a bit more tasteful than she had been. And then in the final show, we got to see Betty in London stepping out in clothes that still showed the bold colors we’d come to associate with her but with more subtlety and taste than before.
